The release date for the film of Alex’s amazing solo of El Cap has been announced. It is of him climbing Freerider, a 5.13a, a 3300-foot wall with no rope in 3 hours. I imagine it will be amazing, or at least very cringe-worthy.

Another great film which really helps to convey what fast big wall climbing is like is this timelapse of a similar climb, also on El Cap, called The Nose, completed in 2 hours, with ropes. But as you’ll see, they might not have helped much had the climbers slipped. Definitely worth watching.
