RNA was a key component to the origins of life on earth.  Until now, how the 4 components of RNA developed have been a mystery.   For the first time, scientists have figured out that all of the conditions required to create  RNA were likely present on early Earth at the same time.

The Diviner Lunar Radiometer instrument aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) was used to map and analyse the age of craters on the moon.    Analysis indicates that a relatively slow population of objects impacted the Moon in the last few hundred thousand years and predominantly on the far side.
