Amazing Glacial Eskers

Eskers are raised gravel paths that are the remains of a stream that flowed within ice-walled tunnels within and under glaciers. They tended to form when a glacier was slow and sluggish. After the retaining ice walls melted away, stream deposits remained as long winding ridges.  Another amazing remnant from our icy past just like terminal remains.
